CatalyseTech

CatalyseTech

Since 2010,  SELCO Foundation has strived to alleviate poverty by building access to decentralised renewable energy to underserved communities across India—in a manner that is socially, financially, and environmentally sustainable.

Catalyse Tech was started in 2021 with the vision to involve underserved communities to be part of the solution design process. This platform aims to highlight problem statements from the ground—which act as a voice for the end user—and help connect the innovators and entrepreneurs who wish to engage with them to:
1. Either document their problems/ cases/stories and connect it to the national and global scenario, or

2. Work on building solutions that help them and thousands of others with similar challenges and hurdles.

CatalyseTech is going be a conglomerate of various challenges, hackathons, engagement opportunities for universities, students, youth groups, innovators, entrepreneurs, communication experts, reporters and media houses.

Why CatalyseTech

Gaps we see

  • Access to innovation is extremely limited
  • There is a lack of humane articulation and understanding of multilayered problems faced by people on ground.
  • Lack of platforms to engage grass roots stakeholders to problem solvers, who are looking at tech driven developmental solutions at small scale.

Objectives

  • To empower marginalised and vulnerable communities to combat poverty, exclusion and climate change
  • To engage children, youth and women to build on their existing knowledge, skills and aid them in attaining their aspirations
  • To build and strengthen partnerships with civil society organisations (CSOs) and community based organisations (CBOs) to implement development programs

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets

Building on the positive feedback we have received over the years for working on ecosystems of change for last mile users, we are keen to involve more stakeholders.
We identify a collective need to work towards more inclusive innovation that generate livelihoods and also ensure wellbeing of communities.
We hope to engage 2000+ researchers, innovators and entrepreneurs, via 500+ well articulated, sustainable development Goals (SDGs) driven problem statements in the problem database by 2025 and more innovations to follow.
