A platform to identify and support grassroots tech innovators, enterprises and productive use technology manufacturers in Odisha
Odisha has been host to extreme weather changes and unpredictable weather patterns leading to decreasing water tables that adversely affect 70% small & marginal farmers. Repetitive cyclones, floods & famines often result in further deterioration of quality of life and reliable livelihoods.
Degradation of local resources and non-uniform development has not created equitable opportunities for vulnerable communities to prosper.
There is an urgent need to create a safety net with sustainable climate resilient solutions for vulnerable households and communities.
The grassroots climate resilient tech solution providers can be one of the mediums to mitigate these risks because they have a better access to the grassroots issues and can play a vital role in adapting to these shocks.
THE CHALLENGE
We’re looking for innovators and entrepreneurs who have:
- Innovative, income generating and productive tech applications across agriculture and allied activities, and non-farm based activities
- Climate smart, renewable energy based tech solutions for productive use across agriculture and allied activities, and non-farm based activities
PRIZES
- Top 10 innovators/entrepreneurs will get prize money upto 6 lakhs!
- 15 selected innovators/entrepreneurs will get incubation support for worth 1 Cr through mentorship and seed grants
WHO CAN APPLY
- Tech innovators or enterprises with prototype (working model) of productive solutions that have a positive social, economic and environmental impact
- Tech innovators or enterprises with or without any registration
- Enterprises with any type of registration – sole proprietorship, private limited, one person company, partnership firm
